Download the Intego Installer File
To properly uninstall your Intego software, it is important that you use the latest Installer. If you have manually attempted to remove the software, you will need to first reinstall again, then use the Installer package to properly remove the applications and NetUpdate icon from the menu bar. If you do not have an Intego Installer available you can download one from here:
Select the installer you would like to download from the Latest Updates Menu and click the green 'Download' button.
Deauthorizing Your Intego Software
If you already own Intego software and plan on reinstalling it later, it is important to Deauthorize your program BEFORE going further in this procedure. Go to the VirusBarrier menu (in the Menu Bar, close to the Apple logo on the top left of your screen) click on 'Deauthorize VirusBarrier..."
Note: This process works for any Intego software and does not need to be repeated.
Proper removal of the software package requires using the Uninstaller package located in your software bundle (.DMG file downloaded at time of purchase) If you have manually attempted to remove the software, you will need to first reinstall the software again, then use the same installer package to properly remove the application
When you open the disk image file, you will have the option to Uninstall. Double-click on Uninstall.
Note: If you have already tried to manually uninstall portions of Intego software, this will lead to a partial uninstall, even if you used Finder or Spotlight search to locate Intego files. In this case, you will need to first reinstall the software before being able to proceed to a clean and complete uninstall.
If you wish to install your Intego software on a new computer, you can:
- Deauthorize your software as seen above
- Uninstall the software from your older computer prior to installing again on the new one
- Or; purchase an additional license for the new Mac
