How to Uninstall Family Protector iOS from a Device

There are 4 different ways to delete and uninstall Family Protector from a device.  (Note: deleting Family Protector from a device will send an e-mail alert to the account administrator)  Please choose one of the following:

Using Family Protector Admin - iOS

Using Family Protector Admin - Android

Using The Family Protector Website

Manually

 

Using Family Protector Admin - iOS

Open the Family Protector Admin app on your iOS device and select the Devices section at the bottom of the screen.  Now, tap Edit in the top right corner and tap the red minus (-) option next to the device you wish to remove and then confirm the device deletion in the alert window that appears.  This will remove the Family Protector management certificate as well as the Rook and KidSet apps from the chosen device.  No further action is necessary.

Using Family Protector Admin - Android: 

Open the Family Protector Admin app on your Android device and select the Devices section at the top of the screen.  Now, choose Delete in the top right corner and tap the box next to the device you wish to remove (indicated by a green check mark).  Confirm the device deletion by tapping Done in the top right corner and approving the action in the alert window that appears.  This will remove the Family Protector management certificate as well as the Rook and KidSet apps from the chosen iOS device.  No further action is necessary.

Using the Family Protector Website: 

First, Login to your Family Protector account.  Now, select the Devices screen and choose the device you wish to remove by clicking the corresponding arrow on the right side of the page as seen below:

Scroll down to the bottom of the Device Info page and click the Remove button as illustrated in red.  Approve the action to confirm and delete Family Protector from the device.  This will remove the Family Protector management certificate as well as the Rook and KidSet apps from the chosen iOS device.  No further action is necessary.

Manually Uninstalling Family Protector iOS

If your subscription or trial period has expired and you are unable to access the Family Protector Admin app or website, you can manually remove the app directly from an iOS device.  

- First, open the Settings app and go to:  Settings > General > Device Management > Family Protector Controls.  
- Now, tap the option Remove Management and enter your iOS passcode to delete the certificate from the device.  
- You can now manually remove the Rook and KidSet apps from your device like you would remove any other app.  (After you tap and hold any icon, the apps wiggle, and the X lets you delete them.)
