What is Intego iCalServer?

The IntegoiCalServer process is a part of the Common Services that get installed with your Intego security package.  User's may get a connection request for this process as illustrated below:

We recommend allowing it.  Please note that Common Services have many functions that may require a connection to the internet. (such as scheduling updates)  If you do not wish to receive this notification in the future, you have two options:

1. Disable the Mac OS X built-in Firewall

If you have NetBarrier installed, it is your first line of defense and it is not necessary to run the Mac OS X firewall.  To disable the built-in Mac OS X firewall, please access the Mac OS X System Preferences from the Apple menu and you will locate it under Security & Privacy as illustrated below:

2. Delete the Process

While the icalserver process may be used by some Intego applications, you can safely delete it to prevent the connection request from appearing again.  To do so, please follow the steps below:

- Open Finder
- Choose the "Go to Folder" command under the "Go" menu
