Extensiones de Intego bloqueadas en macOS

When Intego software starts for the first time in macOS (10.13 or higher), you may get the following warning:

This is normal and expected behavior. 


About System Extensions 

macOS 10.13 High Sierra introduces a new layer of protection which requires user approval before loading newly-installed third party kernel extensions. Note: Third-party kernel extensions (KEXTs) that were already present when upgrading to macOS High Sierra are automatically enabled.

A kernel extension is a piece of computer software that is loaded into an operating system's central component. Kernel extensions are allowed to perform tasks or access parts of the operating system that normal software cannot. Intego software uses kernel extensions to properly protect and secure your Mac.

1. Open Security & Privacy Preferences

Click on 'Open Security & Privacy System Preferences' from the Intego software alert window:

Or, open it from the Apple menu bar: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General

2. Click the 'Allow' Button

Click the Allow button to enable Intego's kernel extensions to load and proceed to Step 3

3. Press 'Continue' From Your Intego Software

Return to your Intego software and select Continue to activate your application.

Can't Click 'Allow' for Intego Kernel Extensions?

Update: macOS Big Sur users do not need to allow kernel extensions as they are no longer used and have been replaced with system extensions.  If you are seeing this message and you are running macOS 11.0 Big Sur, please update your Intego software to the latest versions to resolve the issue.

Checking For Updates to Intego Software

 

If you are running macOS 10.15 or lower, and you are unable to press the Allow button or do not see the option please try ALL of the following:

Restart Your Mac

Restart your Mac and attempt the steps above again.  Sometimes this is all that you need to do to make the Allow button clickable.


Disable Remote Management Software 

For macOS security reasons, the Allow button is not clickable if the Mac is controlled by Remote Management Software such as Screen Sharing, Apple Remote Desktop, VNC, TeamViewer or any other application which can be used to remotely control the computer.  You will need to temporarily disable these applications and have direct physical access to the machine for the process to work.


Disable Third Party Software For Keyboard & Mouse

Third party software emulation for mouse and trackpad such as MagicPrefs, BetterTouchTool, Synergy, Screens, Share Mouse or similar need to be disabled for the Allow button to be responsive.


Disconnect Third Party Hardware: Tablets, Touchpads, Keyboards & Mice

Creative tablets, pens, keyboards and mice such as Wacom, Huion, Roland, Logitech or similar need to be completely disconnected and potentially uninstalled to Allow kernel extensions. Disconnect these devices, then re-connect your Apple mouse and keyboard and try again.


Disable System Integrity Protection Temporarily

If you have tried everything mentioned above and you still cannot Allow the Intego extensions, you may need to temporarily disable the Apple System Integrity Protection.  See the following article for more information:
