Scanning Files in Cloud Locations

When attempting to use your Intego software to scan files in cloud-based locations, you may encounter scan failures or an inability to scan these locations directly.

VirusBarrier and Washing Machine will attempt to scan locations on your Mac that contain cloud files. These could be from any cloud based service (such as Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, etc) where the files are not stored locally on your Mac. A placeholder for the file may exist, but not the file itself.

Because these files are not stored and saved to your hard drive, they cannot be scanned by your Intego software. However, downloading these files from the cloud storage service to to your local hard drive will allow access for scanning.
