If you’re experiencing issues when purchasing or renewing your Intego software online, there are a few common factors to consider. This article offers troubleshooting steps to resolve payment-related problems, including display or button errors and payment method issues. 

Identify Your Issue

First, identify the type of problem you are experiencing and follow the recommended troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

  • Type of payment issue encountered
  • Error message
  • Payment methods tried

Troubleshooting display or button issues

Page not loading properly, buttons not functioning, or getting “Cookies must be accepted” message? To avoid such issues, make sure to apply all of the following settings in the browser you are using when purchasing/renewing:

  • Enable JavaScript: In Safari, click Safari > Preferences > Security in the top menu bar, as seen below, and ensure JavaScript is enabled.

  • Accept cookies: In Safari, click Safari > Preferences > Privacy in the top menu bar, as seen below, and make sure cookies are not blocked.block_cookies.png
  • Disable ad-blocker extensions: Click Safari > Preferences > Extensions in the top menu bar, as seen below, and uncheck any ad-blocker extensions.Safari_Extensions.png

If the issue persists after applying the recommended settings in your browser, try completing your purchase in a different browser, such as Firefox or Google Chrome .

Payment method-related issues

By following these steps, you can help ensure your online purchases go through smoothly and without any hassle:

  • Check the validity of your card: Before making a purchase, verify that your credit or debit card has not expired and is active. This can help prevent transaction failures.
  • Use a payment account with sufficient funds: Make sure that your account has enough balance to cover the purchase amount, including any applicable taxes and fees. Insufficient funds can lead to declined transactions.
  • Enter the correct billing information: Double-check that the billing address and contact information you enter match the details associated with your payment method. Incorrect information can result in payment processing errors.

For payment issues related to charge authorization, contact your payment provider to authorize the transaction. You may also try a different payment method.
