ContentBarrier lets you keep track of what your users have been doing by secretly taking pictures of what's on their screens and recording what they type into a hidden log.
To enable this feature, and grant proper permission for screen recording, some additional steps are required within macOS Sequoia's Settings.
Enable Screen Recording in ContentBarrier
Open ContentBarrier, and navigate to the Configuration tab in the upper left section of the window. From here, click on the Recording tab and confirm that the Enable Protection box is checked.
Check the Record box and select the preferred frequency of screen recording screenshots to be taken.
In the Screen Recording window that appears, select Open System Settings.
Toggle the switch for ContentBarrier Daemon to the 'on' position and enter your macOS password to authenticate this change.
After recording permission has been granted, you will receive a second prompt to enable Accessibility Access for the ContentBarrier Agent. Click Open System Settings and toggle the switch for ContentBarrier Agent to the 'on' position.
You will continue to receive monthly permissions update requests from macOS on a monthly basis to maintain ContentBarrier's Screen Recording permission. When you see these requests, click Allow For One Month.
Disable Screen Recording Within ContentBarrier
To disable the Screen Recording feature, open ContentBarrier's Configuration section, and within the Recording tab, uncheck the Record option.
Then remove the ContentBarrier Daemon from the Screen & System Audio Recording section of Privacy & Security within the macOS Settings. Enter the macOS admin password to authenticate.
Repeat this same process, removing ContentBarrier Agent from the Accessibility section within Privacy and Security section of the macOS Settings. You will not be required to enter a password for this section.
