There are multiple locations where you may be asked for a password in order to access your Intego Account, log into your Intego software, or install updates for your Intego software.
This article will help you to determine what information is required and how to reset the password, if needed.
If you need to check for and install updates to your Intego software via NetUpdate, you may be prompted to enter a password. This password would be the Mac's Admin or Login password. This is the same password you use to login to your computer and install software. While the Administrator/Login password can be the same as the Apple ID password, in some cases it is not.
When opening NetUpdate, you may see a password prompt like the one shown below to grant permission for the updates to install.

Intego Privacy Protection VPN Login
The username/password combination for Intego Privacy Protection VPN is automatically generated at the time of purchase and cannot be changed or modified.
Please note that you will only enter the Intego Privacy Protection username and password to login to the service after the installation process has been completed.
When you are prompted for a password during the installation process, please use your Mac's admin password. This is the same password you use to login to your computer.

Intego Account Portal
If you have already sent up your login credentials and previously logged into your Intego Account online here, but have forgotten your password, please follow the steps below to request a password reset.
Once here, you will see the login window. In the lower right corner of the login area, there is a link that says Forgot Password? that you can click to begin the password reset process.
On the next page, enter your email address that is associated with your Intego Account and click Continue.
After clicking the green Continue button, you will see a message like the one below.
You will be sent a link via email to reset your Intego Account password. This link will be valid for 60 minutes. After the link expires, you will need to submit a new request to reset the password.
